CHMK Chairperson Appointed to Editorial Board of Swiss Academic Journal

CHMK, Kurdistan Region, 18 August 2025: Dr. Shwan Adam Aivas, a renowned Kurdish media scholar and Chairperson of the Kurdish Media Watchdog Organisation (CHMK.org), has been appointed as a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Literature, Linguistics, and Humanities (IJLLH). The journal, published in Switzerland by Scholastic Research Publication, is a distinguished English-language platform for scholarly contributions in the humanities.

In its official invitation, IJLLH praised Dr. Aivas for his academic achievements and professional contributions, stating, “It is with great enthusiasm that we invite you to join the Editorial Advisory Board/Guest Editor position of our journal.” The journal further emphasised his distinguished reputation by nominating him for roles such as Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Advisory Board Member, or Guest Editor.

The SRP International Journal of Literature, Linguistics, and Humanities is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal, published three times a year, aiming to serve as a leading international platform for research and expert reviews in literature, linguistics, humanities, and language studies. As a member of the Editorial Board, Dr. Aivas will contribute in four key areas: Reviewing and providing feedback on submitted manuscripts; Recommending high-quality topics and special issues; Advising on journal scope, publishing ethics, and quality standards; Promoting the journal within academic and professional networks

Dr. Shwan Adam Aivas, author of a seminal volume on Kurdish Journalism Cultures, currently serves as Assistant Professor of Communication, Culture, and Media Studies at Sulaimani Polytechnic University. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Dergawan Media Education Magazine. His academic and professional work extends beyond the university, with substantial contributions to both international and regional media platforms. Dr. Aivas is particularly recognised for his research and expertise in media ethics, the integration of artificial intelligence in media content production, and the regulation of privacy policies within journalism cultures. Reflecting on his appointment, he remarked, “This honour represents a meaningful acknowledgement of my academic and professional efforts by the international scholarly community. It affirms the importance of cross-cultural collaboration and the opportunities enabled through global academic networks.”
