We are profoundly honored to announce The 3rd CHMK National Forum for Media Reform, taking place this July in the heart of London. Officially endorsed as an International Scientific Conference, this year’s landmark assembly convenes leading global experts, senior policymakers, and pioneering researchers to collaboratively map out sustainable, democratic pathways for contemporary media development.
Forum Core Theme
“Media Reform in Post-Conflict Regions: An International Scientific Conference on Kurdistan’s Strategic Policy Roadmap.”
Strategic Reflections from Leadership
Reflecting on the historic weight and profound significance of holding this assembly in the United Kingdom, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shwan Adam Aivas, General Director of the CHMK National Forums, shared:
“Convening this third iteration of the CHMK National Forum for Media Reform in London carries immense historical and personal weight. It beautifully coincides with the 128th anniversary of Kurdish Journalism Day, bringing us back to the very city where the pioneering Badrkhan family first brought our national newspaper, Kurdistan, to print in 1898. More than a historical tribute, this forum realises a long-term mission to build a permanent, bidirectional academic bridge between British and Kurdish institutions. By merging world-class global expertise with the frontline realities of a transitional society, we are moving beyond diagnostic debate to actively engineer an ethical, independent, and secure media commons that transcends geopolitical borders.”
